The Project

The Oregon Health Authority and the Department of Human Services, OHSU Smoking Cessation Center, in partnership with the American Lung Association and the Oregon Coalition of Health Care Purchasers, launched Helping Benefit Oregon Smokers in May 2010 to facilitate a collaborative process among health plans and members of the health care community. Today, the collaborative includes representatives from health plans, health care organizations and agencies, employers, cessation advocates, and worksite advocates. The goal of HBOS is to create a standard of care that will benefit all Oregonians.
