Smokefree Events
Welcome to the Smokefree Events page of SmokefreeOregon.com!
Smokefree events promote healthy communities by reducing secondhand smoke exposure and demonstrating to our youth that smoking isn’t the norm.
Please check back often. We continue to update this site with information about the importance of smokefree events as well as tools to help you plan and execute them.
The Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest (NARA) just completed a Smokefree Event Toolkit, a great resource for anyone planning or advocating for a smokefree powwow or other event.
Do you know of a smokefree event?
A smokefree event means that all participants, organizers, volunteers,
vendors and attendees, will refrain from smoking cigarettes, cigars and other
commercial tobacco products during the entire event and on all event
grounds.
Is there is a smokefree event coming up in your community? Promote it here to gain increased visibility for the event and its leadership in creating healthier places. Contact us and tell us about the event including what, where and when it is, and any other important information. Please also include a phone number, email address and/or website for people to access more information about your event.
