Tillamook Bay Community College is the 4th community college in Oregon to go tobacco-free as of Winter term 2010.

Mt. Hood Community College is the 3rd community college in Oregon to go tobacco-free as of 1/2/10.

Tobacco-free campus presentation at Oregon Public Health Association Annual Conference 10/27/09

Portland Community College implemented its 100% tobacco-free campus policy on 9/9/09.

All campuses of Oregon Coast Community College are tobacco-free as of Fall term 2009.

Ty Patterson of the Center of Excellence for Tobacco-Free Campus Policy visited Oregon colleges in February 2009 to share his expertise. Learn more about the Center and tobacco-free campus workshops.

As of January 1, 2009 the Oregon Smokefree Workplace Law now prohibits smoking within 10 feet of building entrances, windows, and air intakes. 15 of Oregon's 17 community colleges voluntarily exceed that requirement.
